22 Apr 5th Meeting of Chong’s Brazilian Friends
Dr. Chong was an international guest speaker and on the scientific committee of the 37th Congress of the Brazilian Society of Retina and Vitreous held in Campinas, Brazil April 12-13, 2014.

After the meeting, Dr. Chong took two of his former students, Professor Marcello Casellas Chairman of the Department of Ophthalmology, Federal University of Brazil, Londrina, Brazil (second from the left) and Dr. Keye Wong of the Sarasota Retina Associates (second from the right) fishing in Chile. Joining them was Dr. Dennis Han, Professor and Chief of Retina at the Medical College of Wisconsin (far right).

Dr Chong receiving an award from the 5th meeting of his Brazilian alumni. The group, consisting of his former Brazilian research fellows, is called “CBF” which stands for “Chong’s Brazilian friends.” To the far left is Jorge Rocha MD who represents Brazilian retina at the American Society of Retina Specialists and to the immediate left is Dr. Marcello Casella, professor and chairman of the Federal University of Londrina.
