Dr. Gui and Dr. Sebag’s most recent work has been published in the peer-reviewed journal Ophthalmology Retina on November 1, 2020. In the correspondence entitled “Re: Ishida et al: Risk Factors, Onset, and Progression of Epiretinal Membrane after 25-Gauge Pars Plana Vitrectomy for Rhegmatogenous Retinal Detachment”, an important exchange of ideas regarding a phenomenon called vitreoschisis (the splitting of the vitreous gel such that the outer layer of the vitreous remains adherent to the retina despite the clinical appearance of posterior vitreous detachment), was communicated between Drs. Gui, Sebag, and their Japanese counterparts and interesting topics of investigation for future research was generated.

Dr. Gui and Dr. Sebag are committed to advancing the science of vitreoretinal diseases and providing the most cutting-edge treatment for patients at the VMR Institute for Vitreous Macula Retina in Orange County, California.
